Edguy was a second hand Helloween for me.
The Piper Never Dies was cool...

They sounded like Helloween only much worse (to me). I gave up on them rather quickly.

I've never liked Avantasia.

Ayreon is same applied formula over and over and also the more it got applied, the worse and less interesting and less entertaining it got. Just my opinion. Because of that I can't stand anymore albums with multiple singers, a cast of them like Ayreon does.

Less heavy than Vanden Plas, much more melodic. A bit more theatrical as well.

True, but some of the music is really excellent.

I didn't mean it negatively.
It's definitely a good album.

Vulgar Display of Power, is actually the other album from them that I have never heard.  I own their other three albums, but for whatever reason, have never purchased or heard their first two albums.

^I got that one and Vulgar Display of Power in my collection dating back to the 90s. Definitely "classics" from that time.

I don't actually.  Listening to it on Spotify.  Given that I come from a metal/thrash metal background to Prog, it is odd that there are still some classic metal albums that I have not heard.
