Interactive Poll: Back on Stage!

Hi everybody and welcome to the latest edition in this interactive poll series!

It’s mid-September and we can look back on an eventful and exciting season of concerts and festivals. After a two-year break due to the pandemic, public cultural events could finally take place again. Let’s celebrate this!

Note: In case you are not much of a festival or concert goer, get inspired by programs of concerts that have already taken place or will take place nearby.

So here are the guidelines:

1. Choose artists or bands whose concerts you have attended or would have liked to attend this year but for some reason you have missed. Gigs you plan to attend this year do also count.- In this context, it can exceptionally also be about the somewhat better known artists. But please, avoid names we have heard here many times before.

2. The songs or tracks should preferably be from the latest release of the respective artist or band.- In the case of classical music, the 'release date' does not matter here, of course. The date and venue where the concert took place is sufficient.

3. You can suggest as many tracks as you like but only up to 2 tracks over the nominating period.- Try to be as diverse as possible in terms of genre.

4. Lesser known artists on PA are allowed but in case you choose one of those you should also consider other genres.

5. Illustrate in some way, where and when these concerts have taken place or will take place, e.g. by posting the respective concert program/festival line-up (website link or poster), or videos that your concerts were promoted with. Videos of live performances are of course more than welcome.

5. You have about one week to make your suggestions and nominations. If you can, help each other make their selection.

6. The number of votes will depend on the number of participants and will therefore be determined later. But either way, you will get to vote for your favourites, except for your own contributions.

7. Comments are welcome at any stage of the poll.

There is a cultural centre in the industrial area of my hometown, where I hang out quite frequently. That’s where I attended a gig of this quite amazing French avant-rock band, back in June. Some here will already know them, I guess. But as far as I can remember, I don't think that the band has appeared in the polls recently. - Another band who’s concert I’ve attended in August, at another venue in my city, I’ve introduced in Nicks ‘2022 Favourites’ poll. It's this Istanbul-based band Lalalar.
