I think the Italian-Slovenian band Devil Doll would certainly qualify as "dark, pastoral, classically influenced".....

3 stars 1989: Devil Doll - The Girl Who Was... Death - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYdcApobjTY&t=497s
3 stars 1990: Devil Doll - Eliogabulus - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARus_-poevk
4 stars 1992: Devil Doll - Sacrilegium - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHu_LmvSjB4&t=407s
3 stars 1993: Devil Doll - The Sacrilege of Fatal Arms - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5uSrBgzXAs&t=1868s

Listening to Dies Irae....reminds me of The Legendary Pink Dots for some reason even though they are  not  that similar....and the 'rock parts' remind me of Phideaux.

These guys evoke all kinds of moods for me.....dark,  weird, etc.

Always found Celeste's Principe di un Giorno to be along these lines.

How about British band Karda Estra? They're the perfect embodiment of dark, pastoral, classically-influenced music in my view.

I may be interpreting this differently (its maybe the Northern English countryside rather than Scandinavian) but the epitome of dark, pastoral and classically influenced for me would be 'Dark now my Sky' by Barclay James Harvest off their first lp, S/T 1970 (no fancy links to youtube from me i'm afraid)

Thank you just listened to the first track on the first album and I’m really really impressed and amazingly inspired, in so many different ways. Once again thank you for sharing.
