By the way, I'd say that Blind Faith's short life was a pity for Clapton because as I see it, his best stuff is made with Cream and BF.

Thanks for the correction. I've amended my text. Thumbs Up

Psych Britannia Five: A-Z Album Links

The ego has landed! Blind Faith were a short-lived supergroup formed from two other supergroups, Cream and Traffic, featuring Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Ric Grech. With so many competing egos in one band though, it's no surprise the band broke up shortly after the release of their one and only album and a memorable free concert in London's Hyde Park. Blind Faith's eponymous 1969 album featuring a controversial picture of a topless 13-year old girl on the cover was too risqué for conservative America and had to be changed for the American market. I'm guessing it didn't do the album sales any harm in England though. Smile

It's All About spookiness in this classic psychedelic album from Art, but there was no time to stand on Ceremony as the band shortly went on to become Spooky Tooth, which bore Witness to such memorable album titles as "The Last Puff" and "You Broke My Heart, So I Busted Your Jaw" Ouch

Congratulations, I hope you will be very happy together.

Although judging by your exchanges here on PA, it seems unlikely. LOL
I think you're right. It's doomed to last about as long as Britney Spears'  first marriage. I've listened to albums that have lasted longer than that. Tongue

Keith West: the sound of Tomorrow (with Steve Howe), although it was a long time ago yesterday, but today, he's best-known for the song "Excerpt from a Teenage Opera", although we all know it better as "Grocer Jack" Wacko

So somebody under 50 might not know a famous song like Silver Machine? Really? Also here on PA?

No, I'm just saying anyone under the age of fifty may not have seen the original Silver Machine video on Top of the Pops, but I'm sure everyone here at PA knows the Silver Machine song, whatever age they are, although I have a confession to make.... Up until going online in 2010, Silver Machine was the only Hawkwind song I knew. Embarrassed

You do know there are Hawkwind fans here on PA. Some Hawkwind albums have a lot of reviews.
Also Top of the Pops is irrelevant here. It was a TV program in UK. There are users from all over the world here on PA.

Are you sure you two aren't married?LOL

I for one enjoyed seeing that Hawkwind video again, so thanks Paul.

Mike Vickers: a multi-instrumentalist, formerly with Manfred Mann, before embarking on a long solo career, although he might have had regrets about leaving the Manfreds if the title of his first album is anything to go by. This first solo offering is the only album that's even remotely Psychedelic, and the final album is most definitely Smooth Jazz, but as for the seven albums in-between, that's anybody's guess which particular music genre they fall into., but who cares anyway. Smile

While we're on the subject of Hawkwind and for anyone who's interested, there's a Hawkwind special coming up soon on Prog Britannia 11, featuring solo works by Dave Brock; Robert Calvert; Alan Davey; Huw Lloyd Langton; Nik Turner; and the Hawklords, none of which I've listened to before - apart from the first album by the Hawklords. Embarrassed
