12:01 (1993 - US): Groundhog Day with a dumber (or less intelligent, however you see it), more handsome and less comical protagonist and a far more charming leading actress and more intriguing events (add some Office Space spice here from the future). Yep, this sums up what this movie is. I read that both Groundhog Day and this movie was based on the short movie from the year 1991 with the same title as the movie that I'm writing about here (12:01). I haven't watched that short film, but am planning to do it soon(ish). I even watched Groundhog Day quite recently, hahah. Well, this movie that I'm writing about is like the twin of a celebrity: same qualities but virtually zero "fame". I would rate it with a 6/10 normally, as I would do to Groundhog Day; whilst this idea seems like groundbreaking in the first half of the '90s. So, 7/10 it is.

The I Inside (2004 - US): The story here was a bed of nails for the protagonist; and the leading actor was convincing in externalizing his endeavours and suffering... I believe this was a rigorously crafted movie; very well done indeed. Excellent perhaps, even; still and all, zest does not always suffice to make a movie outstanding in my book. This movie lacks the touch of a magic wand of ingenuity. 6/10

The Skull (1965 - UK): This was, beyond a shadow of a doubt, one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Totally ridiculous. Crappy, not creepy. I only laughed in the second half. Marquis de Sade would be proud sad. 1/10

2 Short Movies of Finest Quality:

La jetée (1962 - France): Powerful & flawless. Utterly bleak! 10/10

12:01 (1990 - US): Intriguing and engaging. Forever stuck at the lunchtime hour! 9/10

Crossworlds (1996 - US): I loved how the main antagonist was like as if Agent Smith of The Matrix and Jon Irenicus of Baldur's Gate II were commixed; Stuart Wilson was formidably terrific here as Ferris. It was a good movie. If only I had seen this film back when it first came out; it would be far more fun to watch this one in my adolescency. 6.5/10

Saw Dr Strange the Multiverse.......ok if you like Marvel fillms in general but the story was a bit silly and some of the humor was a bit lame.

Enemy (2013 - Canada/Spain/France): Man, this was a quasi-smart movie. Symbolisms, huh? Yeah, Everybody fabricates everything after they watch such confusing movies. Let me add to that, and join the "smart movie watchers" club. Lol.

Spoilers: Actually here, Adam was Anthony's "real" self, that means the Anthony before being a celebrity (an actor). And, as we all know, most of such celebrities live in their dream worlds. But, here is the trick: Anthony's pre-celebrity self also lives in a quasi-real world. You see? Anthony's wife is pregnant and beautiful, but Adam's wife is less "shiny" but not pregnant (yet). Also, Anthony's wife is Adam's wife after some plastic surgeries. See, she is a celebrity's wife now. They are the same, just as Adam and Anthony are the same. And the car accident: it simply means Adam killed the "fake" Anthony and her wife's pre-celebrity's-wife self. Because he can kill his "celebritized" self, but not his wife's celebirty's lover (current) self, unless he commits a real/physical murder.. Realistically, the pre-celebrity's wife was already long gone. She is a plastic surgery miracle and pregnant woman now. You cannot undo it. It is out of his control / effectual reach. His one self can/could kill the other (not literally of course), but he cannot do that to another person. BTW, Anthony recognizes his wife's older (non-plasticized) self, but she understands that Anthony is not the husband she knows. And the final scene OBVIOUSLY shows that Adam/Anthony is nuts. And he is mentally sick. As this is not a fantasy movie. Such a tarantula cannot exist. Don't come up with, "but there's a report of the accident..." crap. 1stly, it can be a coincidence and it can be a different accident, 2ndly, we saw a fantastically gigantic tarantula there. So Adam/Anthony could probably hear sounds that don't exist. Perhaps he didn't have a wife even, in the first place. Who knows?..

Spoiler again: Second theory of mine (kinda like Mementoesque): That accident actually happened long ago and Adam's wife died there and Adam survived. He then lost his sanity (could be related to the physical impact of the accident on his brain or only because of the huge trauma that her passing away caused), and in the final scene, the gigantic spider might be a sort of a trick his sick mind played, to show that his wife does not live anymore. Perhaps directly seeing an empty room could have been more shocking and could cause another big trauma. Also, perhaps hearing the reporting of another similar car accident could initiate his disillusionment which resulted in realising that his wife no longer lives.

The Mandela Effect (2019 - US): What a mess, what a pathetic effort. I would give a false name if I were in the team for the filming of this crapfest. I would still do my cameramanship or whatever, but I wouldn't wish my name to appear in its credits. 1/10

And, oh, oooooooh; the main character of the film: You ARE crazy. You're no Evan of The Butterfly Effect. The movie you're in does not have the cinema magic enough for me to be able to suspend my disbelief.

The Man From Toronto - Kevin Hart and Woody Harrleson head the cast. I really like both these actors and what could have been a very mediocre movie was certainly lifted by having these 2 in it. The odd laugh out loud moment but it's a typical by-the-book Hollywood comedy film.  6.5/10
