My favourite year of the decade and one of my favourite years in music in general; it's amazing how many masterpieces came out in this single 365-day span. Even in this prog-only list the top two are among the most intriguing and meaningful albums I've ever heard.

1. Rascal Reporters - Redux, Vol. 1
2. Uboa - The Origin Of My Depression
3. Louis De Mieulle - Sideshow
4. Zolder Ellipsis - Entropy Override
5. October Equus - Presagios
6. De Lorians - De Lorians
7. Battles - Juice B Crypts
8. Alarmist - Sequesterer
9. Wyxz - YiY
10. Sales De Baño - Geometría Del Vínculo

Vanishing Twin - The Age of Immunology*
Chelsea Wolfe - Birth of Violence*
Ciśnienie - JazzArt Underground
Le Silo - Yamai
Secret Chiefs 3 - Malkhut
Swans - leaving meaning.
De Lorians - De Lorians
Magma - Zess
Cosmic Ground - Cosmic Ground 5
Bent Knee - You Know What They Mean

- Vanishing Twin is not in PA and not really Prog I would say, but kind of proggy in a sort of Streolab Pram and Broadcast Way (Neo Psych, Space Age, and Krautrock qualities with Art Pop/Dram Pop). That is one of my favourite albums of the decade.
- Chelsea Wolfe mad e avery good Dark Folk, NeoFolk album here. Not in PA but related enough for me.
- Ciśnienie was a fairly recent discovery of mine, and am pleased to have suggested it to Post-Rock and have it added to PA. It is a band that build really big crescendos that faollow almost walls of sound (quite like a fair amount of Swans, and I find Dirty Boy by Cardiacs does that sort of thing etc.).
-With Swans' leaving meaning. it is pretty different from the previous few Swans albums, folkier and gentler, but I like it.

I know that there were lots of others I listed closer to 2019, but I didn't want to look that up, and these are some that still stick with me and a few of these I discovered later.

Like 2018 the order is going to change but probably not the albums. I need to get a proper hearing of some of these yet.

Opeth- In Cauda Venenum
Jordsjo- Nattfiolen
The Worm Ouroboros- Endless Way From You
O.R.K.- Ramagehead
Jambinai- Onda
Stephan Thelen- Fractal Guitar
Monkey3- Sphere
The Pineapple Thief- Hold Our Fire
Klone- Le Grand Voyage
Arch/ Mathoes- Winter Ethereal

I just saw from Grumpy's list Mahandini is from 2019 and I had it wrong at 2018 will change that.
Edit again! Discogs says Mahandini was released Decemebr 10th 2018, I'm going with that.
