You have done nothing wrong, I will accept any nomination you'll make, so do not discourage.

If I haven't missed anything, there is no genre restriction in this poll.

I don't know what happened that you think the songs you've posted so far are not good enough, what did I miss?

I treat this as a way to share my interests with people and expose them to music that I like (which of course is pretty much the point of these polls, well, that sharing of what we like and experiencing what others like). People here have very varied interests, and part of the joy I think, in this series is being exposed to music me might not otherwise listen to and hopefully expanding those interests. Lots of us have very diverse diets (eclectic tastes) when it comes to music. And even if something is not the kind of music I would seek out (or normally enjoy), I still can appreciate experiencing it. And I don't think that the votes themselves are terribly interesting. What matters to me is experiencing the music, and ideally, sharing that experience (I'm not good at that and get embarrassed with my attempts).
Maybe I too am missing something. Edited by Logan - April 26 2022 at 07:53 |

I have suggested other genres from time to time but the feedback wasn't exactly enthousiastic. Hence I didn't nominate those tracks. But that doesn't matter. It's rather about whether or not it makes sense to submit excerpts of a track or composition, esp. if it is a less-known artist, you see?

I wouldn't have a problem with nominating a specific movement (or piece) from a greater composition, or a portion of a suite (especially if I had a youtube link to it). I guess it would depend on if I felt that it could operate in a stand-alone way or needed more context for appreciation. |

A couple of the songs I nominated here got some negativity, I felt a bit discouraged, but what can I do, I can't please them all,

I think that the suggested excerpt needs more context for appreciation of the concerto. @Cristi

Well, taking part is one thing, winning is another. By the way, I don't think anyone has to care about anybody else's tastes when selecting tracks. As long as you don't care for winning that is (which I don't, and neither does it bother me if anyone writes "I don't like your track because..."). |

Quite good! Mila, are you enough openminded for this song? |

Amos Goldberg (professor of Genocide Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem): Yes, it's genocide. It's so difficult and painful to admit it, but we can no longer avoid this conclusion.

How are you?
Lately we have all been a bit distracted by something else, I am about to finish a long convalescence and go back to work, Nickie has left us (hopefully for a little while) and we all miss her, Christian and Kees are busy, The Anders is producing his own music... It's a moment of tiredness for the Interactive polls, but we hope to return to listen and comment on our suggestions to each other. |
