Yes, I certainly can say that, but then I can tell you that Yes wasn't my cup of tea in the seventies, either, and I first began really to listen to them in the 90's. And for quite a lot of years, I only was fond of The Yes Album (1971), and actually it was first beginning some rather few years ago that I really began to appreciate CTTE. About Roger Dean, I've been very fond of his artwork since 1975, when I bought my first record with Osibisa, and his works for that band are actually some of those I like very most.

Paul, I'm curious about if you've ever met some rudeness due to the many threads, you've started? Edited by David_D - February 14 2022 at 16:56 |

No, I haven't, but even if I had, it's better than being ignored.

I like this cover of Roger Dean, as well. And thank you very much for your help with the rude one.

My pleasure. I bought Demons & Wizards just on the strength of the Roger Dean album cover, and luckily for me, it also turned out to be Uriah Heep's best album.

That is how lucky one can be, or it might be a matter of some other things which I've written with I Prophesy Disaster about. By the way, I prefer Look at Yourself (1971), but Demons & Wizards (1972) might be my #2, even I'm rather fond of Live (1973), as well. ![]() But I'll give Demons & Wizards (1972) a new listen.

I remember Look at Yourself had a mirror on the album sleeve, so I could quite literally look at myself. ![]() I may have a Top 7 Uriah Heep albums list lurking somewhere in the poll vaults.

Record companies back in the day designed album covers so that you could do some sort of task in different parts of the record store to keep you in the store longer. So, often you would see people combing their hair in the U section. In the M section, people would be making ham sandwiches. In the S section, people were solving partial differential equations. In the B section, people were doing geology. In the D section, people were building irrigation canals. In the Y section, people were wearing 20 pairs of pants at the same time, which makes it difficult getting off the ground if your laying down looking at records. And so on and so forth. It's not that different than fast food restaurants making their food so salty that you feel obliged to purchase several liters of soda (or pop depending on where you're from), which in turn makes you want to buy more fries, and then even more soda. Otherwise if you're not far from a lake, you could drink that and maybe eat a fish or a boat.

My time must have been wasted in record stores then, as all I did was browse through records and listen to music, although I did take something with me to eat and drink if I was planning on being there a long time.

Progaardvark, I must say that I've been curious about what you've been thinking about "my" Prog as a part of a certain culture thread. Edited by David_D - February 16 2022 at 14:52 |

It could be with Alice Cooper's School's Out (1972) or Rick Wakeman's No Earthly Connection (1976).

Don't ask me what I think about it, and for the historic record, do you know when this video was done? - And this time, you were surely not kidding!

Yes, it's Permanating from SW's Home Invasion concert at the Royal Albert Hall in 2018, and no, I wasn't kidding about it being Disco.
