It's good to see we have a match on six classic albums choices, although I like most of your other choices too, apart from Gentle Giant and VDGG, obviously.

You seem to be carpet bombing these forums with an ever increasing 'scatter gun' approach to threads and polls. Some of us can't help but think you are some sort of self appointed zoo keeper to the exhibits on offer at Prog Archives? (the Primates House are ready to start throwing faeces frankly...) Have you ever posted your own conclusions based on the responses to the below? http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=128406&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=128319&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=128308&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=128241&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=128185&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=128145&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=128121&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=128115&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=128016&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=128015&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127996&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127978&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127947&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127944&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127899&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127887&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127876&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127835&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127824&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127803&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127779&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127768&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127757&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127750&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127717&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127708&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127706&KW= http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=127673&KW= Edited by ExittheLemming - February 14 2022 at 08:24 |

I certainly don't understand, what you're talking about. I've been very active, yes, but "my" threads have been based on what I find interesting, and what I've presumed that other active members would find interesting. My presumptions have certainly proved to be right ones, as "my" threads have shown to get many replies and really many views, as well as thanks and other kind of appreciation - I've got good relationship to quite a lot of people, too. Besides that, I've been thinking much about appreciating Progressive Rock, and trying to contribute to the wellness of this genre. When all that is said, I must tell that I find your post here being mildly speaking rude, and this is certainly not what I've seen on PA before.

Okay, now I think that I understand your point, and can see what is bothering you. I'll have it in mind in my future threads, but I could wish that your criticism was written in a more friendly and constructive way.

It's unfortunate you think I'm being 'mildly rude' because this is me with the safety catch ON

If you'd like me to post conclusion to this thread, I'd like you to show me how to do it because frankly speaking, I don't know it.

I'm currently putting together a Top 100 list of obscure British albums collated from the prog vaults, so whenever it's ready, I'll post it either here, there, or somewhere else entirely.

Can't wait, but post it somewhere else. Maybe it will trigger some interesting discussions. Top 100 list of obscure British albums list doesn't belong in "20 of your great UK prog classics" thread. |

Thanks! I've been collecting prog albums for over 30 years, which I know is young compared to some, but, yes, I'm definitely not a "beginner".

Thanks. I was being enigmatic as I haven't decided where to post it yet, but you're right, it doesn't belong on this thread.

A new post from yourself summarizing whatever conclusions you have reached or if you can discern a pattern from the responses received to date would probably suffice

Thanks very much for your help, Enigmatic, but I don't think Paul was quite serious - rather more making fun of somebody who seems to think that threatning others is the right way to get his will.

Well, if you need a conclusion, you better do it yourself. I don't need any, as I haven't started this thread with the purpose to answer some specific questions - which should be obvious reading my OP. Sorry
