That's not necessarily a good thing. I probably haven't been forgiven for adding Deacon Blue, Prefab Sprout and the Sweet to my prog channels. Tongue

Besides that, I'll have a closer look at your Prog collection to have some ideas about what kind you like most. Smile

I can certainly understand that, and the good thing with GG is that you've found what you think of this otherwise..yes.. very popular Prog band.

Even I have the impression that GG's popularity is not quite what it has been.

Sadly, I didn't manage to Acquire the Taste for Gentle Giant, but I have at least Three Friends here who like them, including Gentle and Giant. Smile

I may be Clutching at Straws, but I've heard a Marillion Garden Party is really quite something to behold, unless you're Afraid of Sunlight. Smile

I'm listening to albums, Paul, and not single songs.

But something else, if you still haven't seen the one of the Peruanas Bellas, do some more searching at your Black Widow Heart - that's something of sunlight and delicacy.

About Ozric Tentacles, I can tell that I find Erpland quite okay, but that is how far I've got with the Ozrics.

I was a bit tentative about adding Ozric Tentacles to my playlists as I'm not a big fan. Once you've heard one Ozric Tentacles album, then you've heard them all really. It's hard to tell their albums apart, as one album sounds pretty much the same as the next album, but at least they're consistent.  Smile

So nice you can be. As far as I remember, my impression of them was quite the same, as homogenous.

And I can tell that when I listen to Erpland, even it's a double album, I listen to it as a single one using my programmable CD-player. That way I hear it as more diverse, as I skip some of the typical sounding songs, and leave all of those which are more unusual.

Yes, the Ozrics are homogenized, just like milk. Smile

Interesting to see this post, Paul, as I now realise the difference between just an ordinary thread and "a channel", and can see the full point of these threads.

I don't quite know if you mention PA somewhere on Youtube, but that's maybe something PA might be fond of.

I can Signify that Porcupine Tree are coming up  next, which makes a welcome change from Ozric Tentacles, whose albums have already blurred into Insignificance in my memory. Sleepy

One thing's for sure with Porcupine Tree - there's a lot more albums than you think. Trying to complete their long discography is a bit like going Up the Downstair, where you think you've reached the end, but then you find there's just one more step (or album) to go, so if I'm In Absentia from here for awhile,  you'll know where I am. Smile

Best luck and most pleasure with that, Paul.

Something else, I'd like to thank you for learning from you to react in a more humourous and stylish way, and to be able to better accept some rudeness. Smile
