Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Sad news. Coincidence, but I played my fave Budgie album "Never Turn Your Back on a Friend" two days ago.

RIP

in my (very brief ) stint working backstage, Budgie were the most friendly, down to earth, calm and approachable band i worked with, hands down.. Burke Shelley was friendly and full of encouragement to this young man in the day.. Great band and a great bassist/singer.. RIP Burke.

I've always admired Burke Shelley; one of my musical heroes. When others were busy listening to Zeppelin in my home town back in the day, I was blasting Budgie!
RIP, Burke Shelley, and thanks for the great music.

Glad someone dedicated a thread to Burke Shelley.

Budgie was so underrated. Those first 5 or 6 albums are just great! Burke and Tony were such a good songwriting team. The tongue and cheek humorous lyrics and song titles were just classic.

They influenced so many in the metal and hard rock world. Burke was fantastic bass player.

Will be spinning Budgie for a few more days. Thanks Burke, RIP!
