"Modern Post-1970's Prog Bands: First Album" sounded a bit long-winded to me. I was trying to keep the poll title short and sweet, so as not to cause any confusion. Big smile

Solstice's 'Silent Dance' - for those brief years between 82 - 85, the Marquee was the place to be.  Quite rightly, they were on the front page of Sounds.

One of the best bands I've seen at the Marquee Club were The Sweet in 1986.

Exactly my thinking

this!

Cardiacs as in the Second Album poll. (I feel slightly boring and may even feel more so if I end up voting for Talk Talk in the polls 3-5, which may well happen.)

Not to worry. I'll be voting for Mostly Autumn in every poll. Smile

Mine is the first vote for The Jewel. Wow. More of you ought to listen to it. Pendragon never topped it.

Totally agree!  I remember going to a double bill at Nottingham's Rock City - Pallas and Pendragon.  Great night!

Script for a Jester's Tear, just ahead of Triskaidekaphobie. I'm not a great fan of neo prog, but I do enjoy a bit of Fish era Marillion.

Pallas out of all these, with TFK, Transatlantic, Marillion and Spock's Beard following closely.

I probably should go for Marillion here, given it's enormity of importance, but it's got lots of votes, so again, Transatlantic...
