^ Absolutely nothing!
By the way, Edwin Starr was a local Northern Soul legend in the nightclubs of my home town of Nottingham after moving to England from The States in the 1970's.

Gates is my favorite epic. Tarkus is probably second.

Went with Tarkus here. Don't love Gates as much as some people do.

I love both of these band and tracks. My choice goes to 'Gates" though.
Is war futile ? I think war is utter failure, and nothing less. Men go to war because they've let all other options fail.

Relayers marchers easily outflank the Tarkus hedgehog tank thing, storming through the gates of delirium, chasing the Tarkus mass from the battlefield.

The Gates of Delirium for me. I can't stand the Mass section on Tarkus.

Gates flows very nicely. In my opinion it's the best prog epic followed by Plague Of Lighthouse Keepers, Suppers Ready and Karn Evil 9.

"Clear the battlefield and let me see All the profit from our victory""Tarkus" came out charging and was on a roll until its hairy snout ran into "The Gates...". "The Gates..." held firm and now "Tarkus" is on its armored back with its tracks in the air. "... there will be no sorrow Be no pain." |
