It was avery good year

It was a good thought! I liked it. I just noticed that a lot of people seemed to be trying to turn it into a “best prog year” post, which has been done to the deaths of a million cats’ nine lives….

I really like the idea of looking at a year for ALL music, rather than just getting stuck with prog. I’m definitely going to try and give this some thought. My above post was merely my initial musings, as I thought about it. It was also more or less agreeing with and reiterating things you’ve said yourself: that the idea of it being ALL music is fairly important here, and that elevating one year on account of just one or two classic albums is similarly missing the point somewhat.

There was not meant to be any disagreement - apart from my not having a year from the ‘70s (let alone 1971) as my definitive favourite year.
