when you get gratuitously mocked for liking a band for close to two years, one gets touchy-touchy.

^ I'm often mocked for my somewhat eccentric tastes in music, but I've learned to take it on the chin by now. For instance, when I admittedly prefer The Quest to the classic Close to the Edge album, or Love Beach in preference to Brain Salad Surgery, then I expect a bit of flak to come flying my way.

it's not the same thing, every time me or someone else mentions Marillion, you have to express your disliking, mockery, no one has done that with any of your favorite bands. I wish you wouldn't do it for others, that's all. As for your eccentric tastes, people still wonder if you are joking or you are being serious. We never know.

Well, at least I'm going to make a special effort to listen to all of Marillion's albums and you're more than welcome to continue mocking me for my admittedly bizarre tastes in music. In the meantime, I'm off to the magical land of Xanadu to listen to my favourite ELO album again.

I am not mocking you, a lot of times I don't even know if you are being serious.

None of them is great, but I voted for The Final Cut. Nice concept album with a lot of atmosphere. Outstanding production too.

However, I admit I enjoy your banter with Paul, sometimes. |

I can't believe Stormwatch isn't winning this poll by a folk tale country mile.

Resistance but I also like Stormwatch a lot so it's close between those.

I've always felt the Genesis album (also known as Shapes) is all too often lumped together with the two mediocre albums that followed it. While there are 2 ready-made singles/videos and a little too much Simmons drums, the rest of the album is far above average. "Mama", "Home by the Sea", "Second Home by the Sea", and "Silver Rainbow" are all among the best things they've ever done, while both "Taking it all too hard" and "It's Gonna Get Better" are truly beautiful.

Hold Your Fire, all the time. Though Harbour of Tears is a highlight in Camel's late catalogue.
