This seems to reinforce the importance of the first four studio albums to ELP as a band. Works Vol One wasn't bad but the drop off is very significant.
As an aside , I listened to the first disc of the Transmission Impossible 3 CD set. These are live radio broadcasts from 1971 and 1973 (2 USA and 1 Italian) . They were an insane live band seemingly (almost) inventing Techno and Drum & Bass as well as taking Rock in a completely new direction. The studio albums are placid by comparison. Interestingly the official live albums on the listings above just don't capture the raw power of the trio at all by comparison.

Excluding live albums and only including albums in their first iteration (up to 'Love Beach'), ELP only released five and a half (side 4 of 'Works Vol. 1) studio albums. This constricts voting to four and a half albums realistically (the contractual obligation of 'Love Beach' aside).

Works Volume 1 is my favourite ELP album, so I could hardly leave that album out of the polling, and if anyone wants to vote for Emerson, Lake & Powell or 3 (Emerson, Lake & Berry) they can vote for those albums too.

I wasn't sure if you were still around, so it's good to see you're still here. There's eleven albums listed in the extended Top 7 above, and that doesn't even include 3 (Emerson, Berry & Palmer) and In the Hot Seat, so I make it thirteen ELP albums altogether.
