^I'm curious. How is the infrastructure in Europe for electric vehicles? It seems we're really far behind here in the States. I know of only two charging stations in my entire county and know of none in the counties surrounding mine, nor are there any on the major highways in my state. If I go electric, it will probably only be local driving and I'll have to do all my charging at home.

We really do need to get better at making batteries for me to consider this. Also, this is a fair point. There are a few parking lots that have charging stations but alas.....not many options at places that matter.

Agreed. I'm still driving my 20-year old Civic and have been waiting for this eventual switchover to take place. If it can hold out for a few more years, maybe, but I may end up replacing with a hybrid if the infrastructure still isn't in place.

this seems to be a pretty good representation if you zoom in all the way: https://www.milieuvriendelijkevoertuigen.be/laadpalen
but then the Netherlands and Belgium are so densely populated that it's not hard to make a connection to anywhere, but then again I'd guess you don't want to take a charging break in the middle of your trip?

or f**k it I'll just buy a car before the next time, the environment can metaphorically suck my penis

if only the environment can literally suck my penis
you need one of those carnivorous plants

that sounds like it will remove my penis, not suck it
it will take your penis for a ride, possibly separate from the rest of your body

^I'm curious. How is the infrastructure in Europe for electric vehicles? It seems we're really far behind here in the States. I know of only two charging stations in my entire county and know of none in the counties surrounding mine, nor are there any on the major highways in my state. If I go electric, it will probably only be local driving and I'll have to do all my charging at home.
this seems to be a pretty good representation if you zoom in all the way: https://www.milieuvriendelijkevoertuigen.be/laadpalen
but then the Netherlands and Belgium are so densely populated that it's not hard to make a connection to anywhere, but then again I'd guess you don't want to take a charging break in the middle of your trip?

Thanks! That's really great coverage.

I found this map for the U.S. and Canada:

At first it looks like a lot, but when you start zooming in, they tend to be concentrated in the cities. I suspect as the switchover slowly makes progress here, gas stations will start adding them in to make up for lost gas revenue at some point.
