Pick your favorite album (sorry in advance if one of your favorite swedish acts is not included, e.g.: Soilwork, Hammerfall, etc)

On the day of my creation, I fell in love with education. And overcoming all frustration, a teacher I became.

Sweden is my favorite country for metal (lots of great non-metal artists there as well), so this is a bit challenging. Of those albums though, it's definitely Katatonia's The Great Cold Distance. The atmosphere they generate with their mix of genres is quite intoxicating and unparalleled.

Pain of Salvation
I'm halfway through Adam Neville's novel -The Ritual. "The Ritual" takes place in a north Sweden forest near Norway border. The last protagonist was just captured/kidnapped by three members of a Norwegian metal band. Some of the bands in this poll are among the bands mentioned.

Though there are many really great albums listed, I can't vote.
This is a Three way tie for me: Pain Of Salvation: "The Perfect Element I" - Evergrey: "In Search Of Truth" - Yngwie Malmsteen: "Rising Force" Edited by Cylli Kat (0fficial) - September 30 2021 at 20:54 |

Seeing as Prequelle isn't there, I'll go with Meliora by Ghost.
But I have to admit there's a lot there I don't know!

I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect. |
