I had no idea Joan Armatrading was British. Apparently, she's from Birmingham, England, not Birmingham, Alabama. Embarrassed

Joni's first is just spell binding. I only heard it a few years ago and it sent shivers down the spine.

I haven't heard Suzanne Vega's debut, so I'll check it out. In the meantime, I'm still looking for a replacement for Joan Armatrading, who wasn't supposed to be here. Smile

No question: Heart's Dreamboat Annie--though that fantastic Loreena McKennitt debut did make me think....

It's a good thing I remembered to include her then. Wink

I was going to make it an all-American poll to begin with, but that would have excluded  Loreena McKennitt, Sarah McLachlan and Joni. Embarrassed

For those who missed this series of polls the first time around, which also includes Blondie, Heart and the Pretenders, but doesn't include Joan Armatrading, as she's not All the Way from America after all, being from Birmingham, England and not Birmingham, Alabama. Embarrassed
