That's actually a good idea. It promotes planting more maple trees. I'm all for that.

if I were, hypothetically, to have some entity produce physical cassette and/or CD copies of a piece of music also available for free as a digital download through bandcamp, would anyone be likely to buy such physical copies for a relatively low price plus shipping (which is expensive in finanld), q.m.

I have to agree with this for myself. I do still buy physical CDs when available. When music is only available as a download, I usually burn to a CD-R. Having said that, as a hobbyist musician, I haven't sold a physical product in many, many years. I used to use Amazon's Media on Demand, but that no longer exists. I've been thinking about using Kunaki because I prefer on-demand services rather than having 50 or 100 of these things laying around in my house (with the understanding that on-demand are CD-Rs and not as good quality as pressed CDs). People do sometimes offer me money for the downloads I have available. I use "name your price" on Bandcamp and I'm OK with people filling in zero. It's just a hobby for me.

The shipping prices from Italy on Discogs are generally higher than the price of the CD and with the exchange rate between the Euro to USD not to my advantage I tend to wait for US suppliers to acquire these. If they haven't stocked it in a year or so and I really want the CD, I will cough up the money just to get it. Japan is also a problem for prices. Even when a US supplier gets stuff in from Belle Antique, it's still expensive.

Maybe I am. I've enjoyed every trip I've had to Canada. I even have some distant cousins scattered across Canada, from Nova Scotia all the way out to British Columbia. I've only ever been in Ontario.
