It became okay a long time ago when smallpox, cholera, plague, tetanus and polio vaccinations became mandated.

Republicans seem to have completely lost touch with reality.   It is truly bizarre, and a real shame.

Biden bungled the Afghan withdraw. Biden left 90 billion dollars worth of American military equipment.  Biden's is bungling the vaccine mandate.

Biden mandating vaccine against peoples wills with the threat of punishment of job loss, loss of income. Biden is demonizing folks who disagree with him. Candidate Biden promised unity. Dictator Biden delivers division. Biden did not even consult congress. Congress makes laws. The executive branch enforces the laws that Congress makes.

Atavachron said, "It became okay a long time ago when smallpox, cholera, plague, tetanus and polio became mandated."
Vaccine mandates are legal, but they are squarely the domain of the states.  Not the president. I predict the Supreme Court will not support Biden's Vaccine Mandate.  Why?  Because the Constitution never gave the executive branch the power to dictate such a move.

What did Biden say, "This is not about Freedom or personal choice."
Excuse me, everything about America, including the oath that Biden swore is about Freedom and personal choice.  President Biden swore to PROTECT our Freedom and Personal Choices. Instead, Biden is the biggest threat against our freedom and personal choices.

In December of 2020, Biden said, "No, I don't think vaccines should be mandatory. I won't make vaccines mandatory. Two months ago, Press Secretary Paski, said this about federal vaccine mandates and I quote,
"One, that's not the role of the federal government."

Why now?  There were many more deaths in January than now. In fact Joe Biden said so in his speech. Biden compared the death tolls from the week he took office to the death tolls now, Biden said, "That grim death toll is down 70%... The path ahead safer, even with the Delta variant is not nearly as bad as last winter".

What is Biden's reasoning? Biden said during his speech, " I want to emphasize that the vaccines provide very strong protection. Scientists confirm that your risks of severe illness is very low if you've been fully vaccinated. Only 1 out of every 160,000 vaccinated Americans was hospitalized from Covid 19."  1 out of 160,000? Not dead, just hospitalized. Then Biden said, " Bottom line. We're going to protect vaccinated workers from unvaccinated co-workers."

Biden contradicts himself. Which is it?
1.  The vaccine works, ergo, fully vaccinate people don't need to worry about unvaccinated folks.
2. Or, the vaccine does not work, therefore it does not matter if you are vaccinated... or not unvaccinated.

What else is wrong with Biden"s logic?

How does Biden know if a vaccinated person caught Covid from an unvaccinated person?
Recent studies suggest the opposite. For example, an August 10th study by Oxford University, published in the Lancet Medical Journal found that fully vaccinated people carry 251Xs the Delta viral load of unvaccinated people. The study suggests that fully vaccinated people are infecting people with Delta variant.
Here is a link to the study-

In Biden's speech, he said, "We've been patient. But our patience is wearing thin. Their refusal has cost all of us!"
Hey Joe, you mean the 1 out 160,000 it cost a trip to the hospital? Again Biden contradicts himself.
1. Either the folks who refuse to be vaccinated cost everybody.
2. Or. only 1 out 160,000 vaccinated people have to be hospitalized. The other 99.99% are just fine.
Both statements can't be true.

How much did it cost Biden?  Biden was given 4Xs more money by Pfizer than any other politician last year. Over $381,000.

Joe Biden threatens the governors of States who refuse his illegal vaccine mandate and accuses those governors of bullying. Vaccine mandates are State decisions...not Presidential or Federal decisions.
Biden said, "Local school officials are trying to keep their children safe in a pandemic, while their governors pick fights with them. Talk about bullying the schools. These governors won't help us beat the pandemic. I'll use my power as president to get them out of the way."

What is Biden? A mafia don. During Biden's speech Biden gave the unvaccinated an offer they can't refuse.
President Biden threatens citizens who disagree with him. He's going to get those governors out of the way. Who cares if the voters of those states voted the governors in office? Who cares if vaccine mandates are under the State domain? Who cares about the constitution? Who cares about Afghanistan? That was weeks ago. Who cares about Biden's promise to not mandate vaccines. That was months ago. Biden changes the rules daily. That's what dictators do.

PS. There are two exceptions to Biden's vaccine mandate.
1. Illegal aliens crossing the border do not need to be vaccinated.
2. Congress and their staff

So what is your stance exactly for those that are not vaccinated but have superior immunity compared to those that are? I’m assuming you’re for mandatory vaccination regardless, even if it means segregation of extreme magnitude.

When the Free States of America split with the United States of America, I'd be fascinated to see how their government, medical care, and law enforcement would work.

I'm actually fine with someone not vaccinating---  What bothers me is when a person who espouses personal liberty above all else thinks an adult woman should be forced to give birth regardless of rape or incest and to prosecute her friends and neighbors when she tries to do so.

Yeah, that bothers me.

You do know, that Texas allows abortions up through six weeks?  Most people (including me) don't think women should be forced to give birth to rape or incest victims. How many women has Texas forced to give birth to babies conceived from rape or incest?  I could not find any statistics on that subject.

Are you saying if a woman attempts an abortion, that her friends and neighbors will be prosecuted?

^ Let me rephrase that--   her friends and neighbors will be encouraged, possibly even legally obligated, to turn her in.   Please understand, to those of us who know their conservative neighbors as largely decent, family-oriented, church going folk, this is sickening and barely to be believed.

What happened to chivalry, charity, honor, do unto others?   Southern hospitality, christian charity?

Shame.

1. Nobody is going to get prosecuted for not turning a pregnant woman in for having an abortion. I'll wager money on that.
2. Neighbors will mind their own business. They won't turn women in for abortion. You're worried about stuff that has not happened and won't happen. Texas won't send a woman to prison for an abortion. Heck, I know Texans who would personally drive a woman across a state border to get abortion. A woman they don't know, they would help her out.
3. The only way a woman would be prosecuted for an Abortion in Texas is if she has one of those "abortions" where she delivers a full term baby and she talks somebody into killing the baby.
Unless something like that happens, I predict that not one Texas woman will be prosecuted for an abortion.

Do you really think that Texas will prosecute a bunch of women for abortions?

Then what's the point of the law?   If it's just symbolic, what is it a symbol of?   Suppression and the mixing of church & state?   And if it's to scare women to not have abortions, that's even worse.   Thinking, hoping and assuming it probably won't happen is a feeble solution.

I lived in Texas for about 12 years and I have a lot of relatives there, I still visit often. Its a very diverse state culturally. It will be interesting to see where this new law leads.
Just as there are plenty of Texans who are damn serious about enforcing this, there are also a lot who are going to fight it.

What was the point of Biden, Harris, and the Democrats running for House and Senate in 2020, of promising a $15 dollar minimum wage? Or Medicare for All?  Or $10,000 student loan forgiveness?
The Democrats have majorities in House and Senate. Democrats got the presidency. If they can't keep their promises when they control the government...when will they?  What's the point of Biden promising stuff that he has no intention of delivering?

Democrats in the House and Senate won't  bring up $15 dollar minimum wage for a vote, or Medicare for All  for a vote, or Student Loan forgiveness up for a vote. I predict they won't vote on such things until after the midterms (When the GOP wins back the House and Senate)  Then the democrats will vote on all three of those issues, because they know they'll lose to superior GOP numbers.

What's the point of the law? What's the point of the promises? So, politicians can win elections. Until voters refuse to donate to or refuse to vote for GOP and Democrats, politicians on both sides will continue to pull the wool over voters eyes, not follow laws, and not keep promises.   You have to scare politicians into keeping their promises by controlling their political futures with your votes and donations.

So, my assumption was incorrect.  Do you hold that view for everyone or just those with natural immunity?  What about the vaccine mandate for our current situation?

My personal opinion is that the president should not, and as far as I know, does not hold that power.

I’m not sure where the abortion outburst came from but my view is that men should have very little say in the matter.  Unless of course they are the one that’s pregnant.  It should be a personal choice.

But just saying they "have majorities" ignores that it's a very slim lead that's incredibly difficult to get past filibusters and Democrats like Joe Manchin. Biden made these promises before he knew how the results of the election were going to turn out. Instead of whining and complaining about it, why don't you contact the Republican representatives in Congress from your state and try convincing them that these are things worthwhile for them to vote for (assuming you're bringing these up because you support them)??

I don't remember you being this upset about Trump's failed attempt to change health care. I also don't recall you being upset about equipment left behind from his pullout from Syria. All I seem to remember was how fixated you were with Hunter Biden. Perhaps I'm wrong about this, but that's the impression you left me and I apologize if that isn't the impression you wanted to portray.

It's amazing to me that this statement would come out of the mouth of a woman. Men have no clue, but most women know that it takes longer than 6 weeks to know they are pregnant, which is the point of the law. Perhaps, coming from Cindy, this shouldn't be surprising.

Goofy Gov. Abbot pledged to end all violent rape in the state of Texas so unwanted pregnancies by forced insemination will no longer be an issue. Now, doesn't that make you feel better?

Yes, Texas will prosecute anyone involved in having or procuring an abortion. And when money is an incentive, Texas neighbors will turn on each other, and claim they did it in the name of God to free their guilty consciences.

Here is a link to the study-

This is a preprint and it hasn't been peer reviewed yet. It won't be published in The Lancet until it has been peer reviewed. And to be clear, the findings state: "Viral loads of breakthrough Delta variant infection cases were 251 times higher than those of cases infected with old strains detected between March-April 2020." The Delta variant was first detected in late 2020, so this is really a comparison between viral load of Delta and earlier variants, not the vaccinated versus the unvaccinated.
