I know this is music related but felt this would be the best place for discussion since it is about a film. Anyway, my brother told me he saw this movie about the Sparks brothers(from the band Sparks) with his one son and said it was very good. I didn't realize they were a duo but apparently they were(but with other musicians) which makes them similar to the Alan Parsons Project and Steely Dan. Any thoughts on this film? There seems to be a lot guest appearances also.

They finally did it, they tried a few times to make a movie and did it! Great movie, worth watching!

Hi,

Hoping it gets around here in PDX, but I have not seen it yet.

Always enjoyed their stuff, and Guy Guden (SPR) used to play it a lot. I think the first album I remember getting of them, was KIMONO MY HOUSE.

There were probably half a dozen songs that shaped my music taste growing up and 'This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us' was definitely one of them. Kinda of interested if it comes round.

Hi,

Was checking for it around and I'm bummed. Won't be able to see it any time soon, I don't think. Streaming is about $20 bux and Portland/Vancouver only has the supposed top ten films and EVERY THEATER every five miles apart. It's downright sickening, but it also tells you who OWNS all these films and theaters ... yep! You got it! They will show all of "their" films regardless and make it look like they are valuable and important, even if it is sheer crap and over ventilated stuffing!

So, to the Sparks Brothers ... ciao baby ... you just lost a fan, though there is not a whole lot you can do about it. And, I will say you are not kimono my house at all! Wink
