Seems I needed eleven:

King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
The Soft Machine - Volume Two
The Can - Monster Movie
Jethro Tull - Stand Up
East of Eden - Mercator Projected
Catherine Ribeiro + 2 Bis - Catherine Ribeiro + 2 Bis
The Pentangle - Basket of Light
Amon Düül II - Phallus Dei
High Tide - Sea Shanties
Kevin Ayers - Joy Of A Toy
Frank Zappa - Hot Rats

I wouldn't really consider these for a proglist myself but I notice them listed by others, and I do love them dearly:

Nick Drake - 5 Leaves Left
Miles Davis - In a Silent Way
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin
Music Emporium - Music Emporium

Easy year for me, not that much stuff out in the prog realm yet:

King Crimson. In the Court of the Crimson King
Jethro Tull. Stand Up
Frank Zappa. Hot Rats
High Tide. Sea Shanties
Colosseum. Valentyne Suite
The Mothers of Invention. Uncle Meat
Czesław Niemen. Enigmatic
Deep Purple. s/t
Renaissance. s/t
Yes. s/t

Not sure if In a Silent Way fits here, if so, it's TOP5 ezly. But honestly, that year belongs to LED ZEPPELIN, especially if you count the debut as 1969 release (it's 1968 in my head canon Tongue).
TOP20 Songs
Genesis
Rush
