I listened to Neal Morse's demo version of The Absolute Universe (the Big One) and I've noticed something funny that was left intact in the final version. xD At the very end of the song "Bully" (2:07 timestamp) deep in the background, you can hear a voice saying "let's put some sound effects in here". xD

I've now read all the reviews in the PA reviews section. I get a little miffed when people complain about the perceived lack of originality in some of the songs. Do people remember the first one. It featured a 20 minute cover song of a Procol Harum song.

People who don't like Transatlantic are obviously missing out and we should feel sorry for them. Maybe there's a concerto for bassoon and glockenspiel out there more up their alley - I'll stick with Progressive Rock. (With the emphasis on Rock. Not Metal or Jazz or fake Classical.)

I'd have Absolute Universe up there with some of the very best progressive rock I've listened to and I'm not a particularly great Transatlantic fan. Again I just don't get the criticism of the new album. To each his own I guess.

You better put a smiley with that, because it sounds quite arrogant, pretentious and pedantic.

Well, an abridged version of this discussion would have been cool... Tongue
