I will stick with Katinka - "Idioter".

It seems many here like it. I'm very happy about that.

Are we nominating?  If so, I will have to go with Offa Rex's "The Queen of Hearts," they're pretty amazing, I think, although I do also love the other two acts.

Also.....this is going to be an awful one to judge, there are just not enough spaces for what I heard and loved this time around.  Everyone outdid themselves this time.

Thumbs Up

good to know, I gotta make up my mind between Dida and Inga (Atlantis).

Funny coincidence - all singers I chose here have a 4 letter name LOL - Toni - Doro - Dida - Inga LOL

One of the most emotional songs ever written (and sung) by a female artist:

yam yam:  Welcome to the polls.  Janis Ian “Tea and Sympathy”  A stellar artist, I do know of her and actually have spoken with her several times, as for a time I worked for a Whole Foods in Nashville and she and her partner shopped there.  She was also my first customer to greet in the store on early opening day, nice lady.  Quite the storied career, she was also the first musical guest on Saturday Night Live, along with Billy Preston.  I do know this song, so can’t vote for it, but it is a perfect choice for here and many others may not be aware of it, or her.  Brings me to tears every time.

I see that Sandy Denny gets a couple of her songs mentioned here - 'One More Chance' and 'Who Knows Where The Time Goes', but my absolute favourite of hers has to be 'All Our Days'. The music itself is hauntingly beautiful to begin with, and when you add in her gorgeous voice as well...

A simply stunning song imho.

I've decided I won't be posting any more tracks, so Helium Horse Fly - Adrift it is.

If you get the chance to see her live, grab it, she's utterly spellbinding. She's normally accompanied by her husband, Sam Lakeman, on guitar & piano and during school holidays, their twins and younger daughter come on for a cameo at the end.

p.s. I picked live versions because there's nowhere to hide!!

After reading people's comments and listening to both songs again I think I'll nominate Lush's "Monochrome" because it feels more grand and yet also mystical, and I like the production on it better. Both songs are bonafide goosebump-inducers for me though.

Yes, really great listening and selections. This ones an amazing poll but also very difficult. However, I can hardly wait to see final nominations.

I wish I had now put up Annie Lennox as one of my choices, another time...
I'm sorry, if you were right, I'd agree with you. Robin Williams.

If you want, you can choose an Annie Lennox's song, even if it wasn't included in your previous selection.
