Do you know SoT? The Youtube channel led by Peter Pardo & Co., covering all things hard rock, prog, fusion and metal! I enjoy a huge chunk of the program, following most of the shows (mostly the prog ones). What are your thoughts on Sea of Tranquility? Here's a link, in case you wonder what I am talking about:

Pete Pardo kicks ass, I love his very positive outlook towards music and not only did him and his perspectives change the way I listen to music, but it also turned me on to a lot of new artists and albums. Very easy to just throw on one of his videos, was watching pretty much everything he posted during quarantine.

Nice. Another thread about Father Don Pardo and his 70s hair.

I enjoy his work a lot as well. Only caveat is that he is a bit USA-centric and hardly enough about French, Italian, Polish, German etc... prog.

Been lurking at his site for decades. Pete's video's are a hoot. But a couple things no one has pointed out yet, except his popularity and 70's hair.
SoT reviews more metal and hard rock than prog or fusion. They dropped the bomb by not reviewing Steven Wilson's "To The Bone". Maybe it was to controversial? Yet they reviewed all his other solo projects. And he offers a link to Progressive Ears but not Prog Archives on his home page. Edited by Grumpyprogfan - May 31 2021 at 17:19 |

Another thing about Pete Pardo that's neat is that he's also pretty much local/lives in very close vicinity to me. So when he was going through his concert experiences I was actually pleasantly surprised to find out that on multiple occasions I've just happened to be at the same concert as him. Also, just hearing him casually name drop these venues or general places that i'm actually familiar with and can relate to. It adds another neat dimension.

I like Pete's channel....Lately he has been doing those group reviews, top picks, top albums and he'll have like 3-4 guests on. Problem is those can be 50min long, too long for me. Especially on the Top album picks and stuff where all the guests end up picking the same thing so it gets boring quick.
I like when he has Martin Popoff on, he is very knowledgeable of all things music, has written a lot of books too.
