There are different covers of this around stating slightly different things but you may well be right. I heard that Dammers really didn't do much but fair enough, he was originally indicated.

Maybe that's why it was released differently later. All i know is that it was released in 69 as the TSCC

OK, I know it's Days of Future Past for 67, and Court of the Crimson King for 69. But I don't really know which I might choose from 68... I guess by default I might go for Pink Floyd and a Saucerful of Secrets, but still, even though I love some of the songs, they did so much better later.

1967 The Nice - The Thoughts Of Emerlist Davjack
1968 Led Zeppelin - II The Crazy World of Arthur Brown -s/t
1969 Colosseum - Valentyne Suite

EDIT - made a mistake as the Led Zep second album was of course released in 1969. my favourite album of 1968 is easily Love - Forever Changes but I'm not sure that counts as 'Prog'?

I struggle a bit with 1968 to find a prog album I enjoy. Beatles -White Album is not too my taste. Arthur Brown - The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown is okay so I will include that instead.

1967
Having an affinity to all thing Emerson drives me to the Nice - The Thoughts of Emerlist Davjack.
However, The Moody Blues - Day of Future Past is a solid contender as is The Doors - The Doors, and The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

I'll Pick
The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

1968
Iron Butterfly - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida

1969
King Crimson - In The Court Of The Crimson King
No contest.
However, The Moody Blues - On the Threshold Of A Dream and The Who - Tommy sneaks in just under it.
Thank you for supporting independently produced music

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword
