Thanks guys.........I'm done with this thread. On to other stuff, oh wait this is PA, not much stuff going on! LOL

Gonna go do some work, gotta earn my paycheck and pay the mortgage. Will spin some Rush tonight, and I am one that loves all eras of Rush. Hard rock (Zeppelin era), progressive era, synth era and heavy prog era. It's all great music by 3 monster musicians.

Cheers!

I'm going to listen to Rainbow's Rising again. I don't care if it's prog or not. Ronnie Dio sings on it, Tony Carey plays keyboards on it, and Cozy Powell plays drums on it. A five-star album! Cool

Some of their work is prog, other is not. There are elements about most of Rush’s catalog that I like about them. Some I’d classify as prog, others not.

Necromancer
2112
Cygnus X-1 voyage
Cygnus X-1 hemispheres
Trees
Natural Science
Jacobs Ladder
Camera Eye
and so on.....
A few examples of their very progressive songs imo.
There’s not really a “recipe” for prog music as far as I am aware.
Anyway prog or not, it matters little to me when I am enjoying their music!

And I'm going to play my one and only Rush album to celebrate! If I can find it.

They were members of the Monkees. I think they're dead now.

Don't let stubbornness ruin your ability to enjoy music for what it is!

Who gives a sh*t what microgenre of prog it is. Do you like it? GOOD, enjoy it!

LOL

We need to change everything, reinvent genre names, macrogenres and microgenres LOL

First genre name? "actually prog".

Someone please suggest Rush for "actually prog". Or maybe not, they'll be rejected. LOL
