Pleasant (or inoffensive) is not something you can lobby for as a right. I think you are trying to tell me that your posts need to be evaluated on the basis that due to your (undisclosed) context require special dispensation. If this is the case then I don't see why you would ever want to be an admin. Is there some sort of golf handicap system on PA that I'm unaware of? I didn't vote in the poll

As an ex-admin, you are of course aware of the forum rules.

Disagreement, debate, even "heated" discussion is fine (though emoticons should be used to "soften" the effect of words). However, personally directed insults, denigration, etc. will not be tolerated, and will be grounds for warning and, if not stopped immediately, ejection. This applies equally to forum posts AND private messages. "Group-directed" insults and denigration (e.g., racism, sexism, ageism, etc.) also fall under this category, any such behavior will be taken on a case by case basis. Any member who engages in continuous baiting, borderline insults, or other continuously "aggressive" behaviour will be warned. Any member found to be using concurrent multiple personae (more than one profile at the same time) will be ejected from the site.

This topic is baiting, but I don't plan for it to be continuous. I have asked for the other admins input on this. An no, I was just wondering if you might have guessed the context from reading the posts in the latest Interactive Poll and the discussion there about voting in polls when asked not to. That is something that I have been investigating, and have been in PM with people, and while I didn't expect this test to yield results, I thought it might be a humorous way to address it. I had not even expected much response, certainly not yours which seems excessively vitriolic, and was planning to delete it.

By the way, I have worked in mental health and have an autistic child, and we should be very careful when it comes to raising mental health issues. A little empathy, sensitivity, charitability, and compassion can go a long way. Ultimately we don't know what is going on in the head of others and it takes work and listening to try to understand.

If you have issues with me here, I suggest you PM an admin. If you think it's abusive, I do sometimes go over the line of acceptable decorum mostly in my humour, report it, or just ask me about it.

If this is reverse psychology, the aim of this thread would be to actually make people vote by saying "don't vote". Good old trick, but I won't fall for it, and so I refuse to vote.

Because people took the time to respond, moved to Just For Fun, even if it's not much fun, instead of deleted. We have two votes for "This should be quite easy not to vote." Poll opens to serious voters at your discretion. :)

Voting in polls is only for those with severe mental defects.
