To be honest, I hadn't even listened to the full song at the time of my piddling posting. It is quite crude, though funny, and I considered deleting it (I came to this site from a much cruder forum). I just thought it a rather amusing and interesting example when it came to TCat's "Anything water-based counts" statement. Considering my earlier post about micturition (Handle's Passing Water Music), it may have been a bit too much. Maybe I was just pissing in the wind, but it's all water under the bridge now. ;) Incidentally, some people here are panheads, I'm more of a bedpan head. I could do with a splash of the amber nectar right about now. Edited by Logan - May 02 2021 at 08:27 |

I’ve always enjoyed Jane’s Addiction’s song, Standing in the Shower, Thinking (And Pissing on Myself). That has two streams of water, so must be doubly suitable for this poll, no? 😜💧💦

Thanks you all for your answers.
I give up on Mary by Alberto Fortis because I can't find the video of the original version, and I give up on Dont Drink The Water by DMB, too well known in the States. The third one I have selected, Acque by Francesco Guccini, a semi-unknown song (even in Italy) that I love (moreover, as usual, it has a fantastic philosophical text) I have put it only for those who want to listen to it, without thinking of nominating it (thanks to Nicki and Suitkees for the mini reviews), because now you know Guccini enough. So at this point I'm looking for another song that will be my nomination. Edited by jamesbaldwin - May 02 2021 at 12:40 |

Amos Goldberg (professor of Genocide Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem): Yes, it's genocide. It's so difficult and painful to admit it, but we can no longer avoid this conclusion.

My nomination is:
The Gang: Dopo la Pioggia (After the Rain) DOPO LA PIOGGIA (AFTER THE RAIN) In the advancing night with the fever of the hour the end devours us falls in love with silence but there is a scratch on the heart which seems like a clue it is blood that shines is the starting signal it is the bank that collapses is the bridge of fog it is the flood of hatred it is hell that breaks out when around it is malaria when around it is slaughter when the temple is violated it is carnal violence CHORUS When the day comes it will be salt on the snow it will be drop on the rock it will be after the rain after the rain it will be There is a snake crawling of Mary between her thighs there is a murdering Christ that is reborn from the blood there is that we are skidding in the advancing night we are calling and nobody listens to us. CHORUS |

Yes I know. Very delicate song. In the beginning you can listen to the Natve American 's singing for the rain. If you want to listen to another delicate song by Fortis, Here https://youtu.be/vmkQDANePMM |

Everyone start deciding who you want to nominate as your choice for voting from the songs you have posted and we'll open up voting on Wednesday or Thursday. I'm going with Patrick Watson "Here Comes the River".
Just to make it clear, right now all you are doing is selecting one of your songs that you posted yourself to put up for the team to vote on. Leave a comment in this thread and then I will put it in the voting list above. Please tell me your nomination by Wednesday. Edited by TCat - May 03 2021 at 08:29 |

OK, I'm going with Susan McKeown's "Lowlands of Holland." I've only gotten through Page One for listening so far, but might have time this week to make up for lost time.

Another one from me - Riverside's 'The Same River', a 12-minute epic from their fantastic debut album (2004).
