I do believe the obduracy of Manchin and Sinema is going to cost the Dems.  Doesn't look like Biden has learnt much from the Obama years.  They need to use the double majority to move the Overton window back to the center.  Policies that were once the bedrock of the New Deal and which are still mirrored in many European countries, Canada, Aus, NZ are NOT too left/socialist.  Biden keeps talking about the FDR sized mandate he has been given.  He better start acting a bit like FDR now.  Otherwise his success with vaccination will essentially go down like Obama's handling of the bailout measures - efficient management but not transformative.

Boring? No.
Normal? Pretty much.
With the exception of the ongoing shared delusion, which unfortunately leads back to #syphiliticpumpkinking

I knew that politics under Biden would be boring, but not this boring!

Not exactly as she was basically Chair of the House Republican Conference and lost that position but yeah, the reason is because she called out the Big Lie.

Biden would be delighted with this.  Splitting the GOP reduces his mid term headache and is a big distraction for the party at a time when they've been trying to attack him on the situation at the Southern border.

yeah... it was a nice reminder of what we want our leaders to be.. and I think generally are if one forgets the last 4 years. They do act in this countries best interest.. you might disagree with what exactly they are.. but never did we doubt that at least THEY thought they were. Even Bush light... I'd have a beer with him.. even as I told him I thought him a good man who was completely over his head to where he let people who DID NOT have this countries best interests at heart start calling the shots.

I have not a doubt in the world he realizes that and will carry that guilt to his grave for all the wasted .. thrown away lives.. all those dead American soldiers for zero goddamned reason..

Yeah, I read this.  Coincidentally my father is watching House of Cards and was commenting on how similarly corrupt (to India) American politics seems to be.  I said yeah but then there's things like the mission to capture Osama which show what the US govt is capable of.

Oh absolutely. And the few things that they agree with they claim that Trump proposed them first. Trump Republicans are much better off with Biden but will never admit it. Or take advantage of what's offered to them from this president that stole their election.

What's truly hilarious and sad is that Republican politicians are against everything Biden is proposing; however, the majority of American voters approve of nearly everything on Biden's list. And the ones that disapprove wear tinfoil helmets and believe Republican talking points even when they run counter to their own needs. These are the sort of deluded folks who desperately needed health insurance but didn't take advantage of the Affordable Care Act because it was referred to as "Obamacare". You can't make up this sort of abject stupidity.

The amazing thing is that Fox can scramble together 5 black pro Republicans on one of their anti Democrat talking points. They must pay them well.
