I didn't want to use the term "pop" to describe these albums, although most of them are (albeit some of them being completely different between each other).

Which one's your favorite?

Mark Hollis, David Sylvian and the Beatles with five star albums, some others (Talking Heads, TFF, Depeche Mode, Stevie Wonder, Abba, Nick Drake, Beach Boys) very good. Vote for David Sylvian.

Jellyfish. Brilliant pop band (ooops, said it) for two albums. Andy is one of the greatest vocalists ever!

If you miss their sound, check out The Lickerish Quartet.

Narrowed it down to Nick Drake, Talking Heads, and XTC. Went with the latter.

Nick Drake.

I considered Scott Walker, too. I prefer this era of his to the later more experimental stuff.

As much as I love Sgt Pepper, I'll give my vote to Julee Cruise, the queen of the Dream Pop genre.

There’s easily a dozen or more that could easily get my vote, as there are so many good albums listed here. But I’ve gone for Silverchair, as I suspect it may not attract (m)any other votes. It was a delightful change of sound for the band. I remember being initially a little disappointed, but was soon swept away by it, and it’s easily now my favourite Silverchair album.

Five Leaves Left, #2 is Sgt. Pepper's. The gap runs from #3 to #17 (exclusive).

I haven't seen the Nick Drake album earlier, that's a great one.

It was between Cocteau Twins, Talking Heads, Nick Drake, Beck and Stevie Wonder. Voted for the latter

How cool it is that Diorama got its vote. I figured it would go unnoticed on this poll.

It is such a great album. And yes. Easily the band's best.
