This is definitely old news to some of you but, anyway, if you are a fan of Penguin Café Orchestra let it be known that Simon's son, Arthur, has, since 2009, formed Penguin Café and released, iirc, four albums since then. Great chamber prog without a doubt.

I can recommend the two I've heard so far "Handfuls of Night" and "The Imperfect Sea".

Note to the mods: Can you please add Penguin Café to the PA artist list??

This post reminded me to listen to 4 of their albums a friend sent me copies of. I only have a passing knowledge of them but I like what I’ve heard.
Concerning adding them to the PA database, there is a distinct approval process involved, which you may be aware of (you’ve been a member for a pretty long time), and it’s entirely possible they’ve been submitted in the past and not accepted. Sometimes a new release that fits the narrow description of “prog” in one of its many subgenres here will inspire a change of decision. Worth a shot if you want to try!

I first heard of PCO from an EG compilation called Angels in the Architecture. That was Robert Fripp's label(and KC)at one point. PCO were on there with two songs.

Anyway, I haven't heard much of just Penguin Cafe so will have to listen more.

A little bit of trivia. Do any of you know the song "in the meantime" by 90's alternative rock band Spacehog? Well, that telephone dialtone sound in that song is taken from PCO's "telephone and rubber band."

Very interesting to know! I know exactly what you’re talking about. Love that song.

I'm just not big on Chamber music but I have their self titled album which is very well done and Geoffrey Richardson from CARAVAN adds his viola.
