Why did we neglect our rewriting duties for so long...? So, here in issue #5 an artist we propose upon insisting demand from JD - a classic by a man much mocked here on PA. Some even consider he is "the man who ruined prog". But admit... You all know In The Air Tonight by heart! But those lyrics definitely need some rewriting... A short reminder of the rules for those who want to join the effort: 1. One line per post (to stimulate the collaborative aspect). 2.
It has to sound a bit like the original (rhyme, sounding like... like
kids who mimic a song without knowing what they're actually singing). 3. It also has to fit the number of feet of the verses (more or less). 4. Same length as the original song. 5.
If in the original song there are some repetitions, it is up to the
person whose turn it is to go that way or not: to repeat or not to repeat, that's no question. In a good prog tradition, the lyrics don't necessarily have to make much sense... And don't hesitate to start a Rewriting classics #6, if you feel a certain urge... Let's go! |
