Both are "bestial pleasures" of mine.

Any opinions and/or votes?

Voted both. If I had to pick one over the other I would probably choose Planet of the Apes but just barely.

I always thought Planet of the Apes with Heston was cringe worthy at times....and I'm not anti -Heston btw.
It seemed like a B movie that would play at a Drive In in the summer. The humans running around in loin cloth and rags was silly but I guess that was the point of it.
12 Monkeys had storyline/plot issues imho but it was strange and I like bizarre film .

Planet of the Apes (1968) No doubt

I love them both, but the one that had more of an effect on me (probably since I was quite young when I seen it) was Planet of the Apes (1968).
