You can run for president from jail? I didn't know that. |
You are certainly much more optimistic than I. |
Not that there isn't already something wrong with the world because he wasn't convicted today but there's something even more wrong with the world if he doesn't face any more legal consequences.
|
I don't think the shape of an office matters. why should a president not sit in a rectangular office instead of an oval one?
|
Obviously...so they can't talk themselves into a corner.

Rectangular office as in a jail cell? Yes, that is the perfect kind of office for him.

Trump's rallying cry during the 2016 election was "Lock Her Up!". I thought for sure that Hillary would face a trial after Trump came to power and nothing happened. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens with Trump. Everybody on the Left is so certain that he is going to see the inside of a prison cell, but I'll be surprised if they ever even charge him with anything. And if they do, and he is somehow convicted, he will frame himself as some sort of political prisoner and that would be a blight on our politics and a rallying cry for his most adoring supporters. | Oh ye of little faith. You said that there would be no vaccine and yet there is one. In fact, many. You said that Georgia wouldn't flip the Senate, and yet they did. That gives me the idea for a song :
"Baby, waltz with me, but don't you waltz too close to me 'cos I've got crystal balls. And if you press too tight to me they are at stake, for if you press to tight to me while we dance there is a chance that they will break. And if they do I will squeak when I speak".

These guys and gals are lawmakers....yes...often with little to no education about anything relevant...an example would be Marjory Greene the crazy one who used to run a gym..where she cheated on her husband with two people who worked there.

Crystal Balls (with apologies to Bing Crosby & Rosemary Clooney's 'Silver Bells')
Crystal balls Crystal balls Glass genitalia in the Senate Lack of spine Hear them whine They won't impeach Donald Trump
Little gonads, tiny gonads Lacking testicular spunk A testament to weak constitutions Cruz is crapping, Mitch is napping They're in a state of denial And the revenge from The Donald they fear
Crystal balls Crystal balls To delicate for erections Horde their wealth In lieu of prostate health They've just ignored insurrection day

trump's chances for the presidency are pretty much nil at this point. The dems got exactly what they wanted from that impeachment trial, a chance to show the world how awful that capital riot really was. This definitely swayed public opinion against trump. He is down to about a 30 to 35 percent support at this point. He will still influence from the sidelines, but presidency again, probably not. Just ask top dog repubs like McConnell and Nikki Halley, they have stated they are through with trump. All he has left are his redneck goons and conspiracy weirdos and the pathetic Lindsey Graham.

Don't forget Ted Cruz and that other guy(Hauley?) who raised his fist when the mob showed up at the capital.
As for running for president from jail I suppose I temporarily forgot that Eugene Debs did just that. I didn't know about Larouche.

The endless stories about pipe bursts in homes was kind of bizarre. Do they not know to open all their faucets to let them either drip or let through a trickle of water to relieve the pressure on the pipes?

People have also died because they've been sitting in their running cars, in their closed garages, to keep warm. We aren't very good at science in this country, and god knows in Texas they don't even believe in it.

Or better yet...TURN THE WATER OFF ! If a homeowner doesn't know how to turn off the water or the electricity (for that matter) to their home they don't deserve to own it.
