Something from an album that was released as recently as 2019 but has become one of my favourite exponents of the prog genre: "One Of Our Dogs Is Missing" by Rascal Reporters

No self respecting fan of SH and PG era Genesis should leave this planet without hearing this first. It's even better than IQ's "harvest of souls" (by far).

Great choices so far everyone woke up to some new tracks to check out!

I ask for tracks because I'l check an album out if I think a track is strong enough. it's how I roll Wink.

Yes, it's a bit silly, but a bit of silliness is good once in a while.

Clap I do love that album. Shame he more or less gave up after that.

For me a perfect 'baroque' prog track....I can listen to this over and over..the whole lp is very good btw.
I'm a sucker for these early 'proto prog' things.

Here's a "perfect" (symph) prog cut by the Italian band Nuova Era, from their fourth album Il Passo del Soldato.

The instrumental break at the 8:45 mark is pure magic sauce.

Good. I'm glad to be wrong about that. Shame on me for making a sweeping generalization like that. Tongue

Hey, I don't blame you. Ask for the best track and if you don't like that you probably won't like the rest. For me personally I tend to go more by ratings but to each their own.

Are you sure you mean at the 12 minute mark? The track ends a little after the 12 minute mark.

Dude, I don't blame you; I'm the odd ball I hang on to old tech I don't even own a non-CRT TV in my current living space, lmao.

I definitely use the rating system as a lead, but I won't lie, there are several albums to me that are lower on the list that sound better than those higher, usually on RPI, hence my first post.

^ I really love it, the whole album, as well as their second album (Hijos del Agobio). Though Abre la Puerta in particular is a highlight.
