The voting is always the hardest and saddest part for me (having to make the choice), oh and happy new year in advance (still have about 16 hours to go of this year where I live).

As for my votes. I discounted that that I knew well, and some I think would just take more spins to properly appreciate (I have listened at least twice to all properly).

In the end (and some others came close):

Kreng - Wrak
Dissòi Logòi -Amptruabat Redamptruabat
Karl Seglem - Springar fra fjord

Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen - Je me ne tairai jamais, Jamais is a most interesting one, and I feel bad for not voting for it. A decade ago such things were more in my wheelhouse, but my tastes have been getting more and more conservative over time (which often happens to people as they get older).

I do love the variety of music on these polls and the commentary is a pleasure to read.

Ronstein:  The Allman Brothers “Mountain Jam”

Samuel:  Nice to see you back! Krystian Zimerman The Cleveland Orchestra  Pierre Boulez “Ravel: Piano Concerto in G Major, M. 83 - 2. Adagio assai”

Hyrchu:  Also good to see you back!  PuD, Ailsean, Flik, C. Engstrom, Wild_Cat  “Excitebike etc. - Bike Kid: The Musical (Team 80s)”

Thanks Nickie! I've put those in and we have 15 in the polls. So it's open and will run until whenever it runs outs. The fun is in the listening.

Sorry for the delay. I've had some other things going on.

Also, on the first page.

Mike, damn it! you took away Marquee Moon from Television! You preferred Gomez! Ok, they churned out a great jam with abrasive electric guitars, really remarkable!

But I had decided to rate one of the three songs I already knew, and of the three my favorite was Marquee Moon! Now you've taken it off me, and so I think Quicksilver will take a place on the podium, which I like not so much but a little more than Buffalo Springfield ....

While the Gomez do not know if they can make it to the podium.

Kreng...Wrack: I didn't look who put this song on but it could have been Christian: instrumental, experimental, electronic, cacophonic ...

When do the votes start?
Amos Goldberg (professor of Genocide Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem): Yes, it's genocide. It's so difficult and painful to admit it, but we can no longer avoid this conclusion.

1) Mermen - Burn. I like it very much. It sounds proggy. Industrial prog. Contender.

2) Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen - Je ne me tairai jamais, Jamais. This is cultured music. Dissonant. Avantguarde. Close to lyrical opera. Contender.

Bumping this up. I don't think I have everyone in here. Let me know who else needs to be added to the poll.

Yeah, it's quite an experience - even within the context of post-1945 classical music...
