Well, going to have to separate into two categories soon Prog:
Zopp - Zopp Can't get enough of this Canterbury album, it doesn't help that the last track is phenomenal Elds Mark - s/t Great Scandic retro-prog Polymorphie - Claire Venus (Grolektif crowd - Ni, Piniol, Poil)
Moleslope - Slope late 2019 Jap Canterbury Trees Speak - Shadow Forms see above, but without the surpise of their debut Scherzoo - 05 almost the same as usual (different label) but a twist towards 03 rather than 04 Glass Museum - Reykjavik (belgian piano-drum duo doing a quieter GoGo Penguin type of music - their second album) The Third Mind - S/T Dave Alvin (yes of The Blasters)'s excellent psych/prog project including guest Jesse Sykes. lots of cover including Alice Coltrane's Saatchidananda The Dream Syndicate - The Universe Inside my fave in a very long time. Trees Speak - Ohms Neo-krautrock (Köln-Dusseldorf school) done the US way by a pair of brothers Aksak Maboul - Figures Not top 2020 potential, but worthy of bottom of top list Wobbler - Dwellers Of The Deep Grumblewood - Stories of Strangers Isobar - Isobar bubbling under: Troissoeur - Troissoeur 2020 Jaga Jazzist - Pyramid Hedvig Mollestad - Ekhidna Magic Bus - The Earth Years (great artwork but not really a good album) Reve d'Elephant - Dance Dance Gosta Berlings Saga - Konkret Musik (not likely) Homunculus Res - Andiamo in giro di notte e ci consumiamo nel fuoco Jakko M. Jakszkyk - Secrets and Lies Dai Kaht - Dai Kaht II Deep Purple - Whoosh! Blue Oyster Cult -The Symbol remains Jazz:
Wildflower - Season 2Irreversible Entanglements - Who Sent You? IAR label's best artistes with Makaya McCraven GoGo Peguin - S/T Old tricks by not as new dogs anymore. Shabaka & The Ancestors - We Are Sent Here By History Shabaka does it again, but the surprise id gone
Nat Birchall - Mysticism Of Sound Alone on this coarcherGary Bartz & Maisha - Night Dreamer Direct-To-Disc Sessions Bartz meets the LDN scene Chip Wickham - Shamal Wind Antoine Pierre Urbex - Suspended (Live At Flagey) Urbex goes Bitches Brew Tigran Hamasyan - The Call Within A return to Red Hail and Mockroot. Guillaume Perret - A Certain Trip Second solo album without Electric Epic, but as if it was with them Idriss Ackamoor & The Pyramids - Shaman! Yazz Ahmed Quintet - When We Were Live Nordmann - In Velvet Matthew Hallsall - Salute To The Sun Muriel Grossman - Reverence Heliocentrics - Indfinity of Now and Telemetric Sounds
bubbing under John Zorn - Baphomet Mammal Hands - Captured Spirits Janko Nilovic & The Soul Surfers - Maze of Sounds |

I vote for Roger Waters' Us + Them as my favourite 2020 album, even though that's the only 2020 album I've listened to.

I prefer this to those people who will say that their album of the year was something not released in that year because 'they listened to it for the first time this year'.
When I become emperor they will be the first to go, next to people who say "I could care less" and fans of Tool.

They're not British (or Unitedstatian), which means they're out of his dogmatic doctrine.

^ Just for the record, I've listened to 658 British prog albums since September 11th, which doesn't leave me much time left over to listen to non-British prog. I'm currently on a Procol Harum binge and listening to all of their albums for the first time today. I'd be happy to give one of Wobbler's songs a listen though, if you want to post one of their videos here.
On the subject of a "dogmatic doctrine", you're barking up the wrong tree. Edited by Psychedelic Paul - December 20 2020 at 07:34 |

Wow that’s some marathon listening to British prog. Respect bro, On the topic of listening to other forms of music, it’s mostly been jazz/stoner/jambands and classical music genres! Oh and the new Fish album which imho is sheer ouawesomeness |

...And that total of 658 albums only includes the prog albums I've listened to on YouTube recently and doesn't include the uncountable albums I've listened to on CD since September 11th. This is my entire CD collection of non-British prog, which isn't a lot, but better than none at all. Number of albums in brackets Blue Oyster Cult (8) U.S. Boston (2) U.S. Delain (2) Dutch Dream Theater (7) U.S. Earth & Fire (2) Dutch Epica (1) Dutch Evanescence (2) U.S. Frumpy (1) German Group 1850 (2) Dutch Kansas (6) U.S. Kayak (2) Dutch Leaves' Eyes (2) Norwegian Nightwish (7) Finnish Rush (2) Canadian Shocking Blue (3) Dutch Solution (2) Dutch Spirit (5) U.S. Steppenwolf (1) Canadian Styx (1) U.S. Within Temptation (5) Dutch Edited by Psychedelic Paul - December 20 2020 at 11:58 |

Do you consider british prog that much better or do you just like Britain that much?

No, not at all. I like Dutch, German & Italian prog equally as much, but I can only add British albums to my two Prog Britannia YouTube channels. Maybe one day I'll create a Prog Europa channel (or something similar), then I can add all of the equally good European prog bands too. I'm also heavily into Japanese Psychedelic Rock too. http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=121026

Dyble Longdon - Between A Breath And A Breath
is now challenging Wobbler for the top of my prog 2020 list. What a gorgeous album!

I hope the list will have a bit more "classic" prog in the end. This year I liked the Avant (Folk), Jazz and Metal releases best, apparently.

Well,
when you popped up very loudly here, you clearly stated a few times
that you didn't have any intyerest in any other country's prog (not to
mention a blatant and unpleasant nationalism), except for a few US acts.

I'd love to create a YouTube channel for European prog sometime in the future (with Agitation Free as the first artist), but that's still a long way off at the moment, when I've barely scratched the surface of British prog.

Hi there! Always a great idea to visit this forum to find new albums! Digging into your suggestions to find more progressive rock releases as my list does not include many this year. Here my 2020 list, not in order of preference:
* added upon nick_h_nz suggestion
