Hi all
The time has come to sell my CD collection as part of my decluttering effort. Unlike other ebay sellers, when I take the trouble to list items, I try to price them to sell. The starting prices are quite low and the shipping costs in US are quite reasonable. I use the global shipping program if you are not in US. I never rate anything higher than VG unless it's sealed. I will make sure they rip before I ship them. I'm starting with the A's and B's this week. It's mostly but not only prog CDs, lots of prog folk, and most of the others are folk. This week, some of the artists featured are Amazing Blondel Amenophis Ancient Veil Annalist Anyone's Daughter Arion Artsruni Asia Minor Asturcon Asturias Babe Ruth Barclay James Harvest Pete Bardens Colin Bass Franco Battiato Beggars Opera Believe Black Sabbath Blue Oyster Cult Bollenberg Experience Angelo Branduardi hopefully this link works. You may have to copy and paste it Edited by kenethlevine - December 05 2020 at 10:16 |

What caused you to decide to sell your collection?
More importantly: will there be any selections available for your panhead friends?😆 |

too many moves and schlepping of boxes and boxes from place to place. In the prior move I sold almost all my LPs. Usually my selling of vast quantities of a media is soon followed by a resurgence in the collectibility of that media do have at it!

sure, usually it's $3.50 for one CD and $1 for each additional. If you want to wait a bit before paying so that other auctions you are bidding on close that's fine too, though if it gets to be a really big order I might have to split it anyways. That's a problem I would like to have :-P

I sold a bunch of my cds on ebay maybe ten to twelve years ago or so. One of the biggest mistakes I ever made.
I understand the issue with moving. Typically I move a lot of my stuff into a storage unit. I find that eases the transition although it's still a pain in the butt with all the stuff I have.

I know what you mean, I hope my next move will be my last one (well second last one as the last will be on a pyre). I'm not giving up on physical products, though, but I have always spruced the unwanted or second rate stuff to keep it trimmed (somewhat), whether in music or books, but still remain under loads of stuff. Retirement will certainly allow me to have a permanent library but there will be a hard selection about what will go on the shelves
you could end up regretting it, so if I was you, I'd get rid of the less essential stuff first, then wait a few months to see if you want to proceed with the rest of it When I moved back to Europe in the very early 90's , I sold +/- 2000LP, but kept another 400 in a friend's attic (which got sold without my consent, but got a very good price at the time), taking some 100 with me. When I started buying music here in Europe, it was CDs only (or 99%), so I never missed my vinyls (it did help that I didn't have a turntable anymore for roughly 10 years.
Well, it would be murder (or financial suicide) for me to order from you, given the exorbitantpostage rates in Canada, especially across the pond. It looks like your CD are still pristine, as you've never even removed those special./mid price stickers (usually the first thing I do). |

let's just stay above the moral melee

I'm in the US, but yes I think the ebay international shipping program is not cheap.
You could still look into it if there is a CD you want, and see what it would cost

I'm straight up buying/bidding on your CD copy of Camel RAJAZ right now; I reverse engineered the review at the bottom of the posting and found out it was YOU! Gladly support you, I needed that disc anyway!
You're in RI, I'm in NH; that shouldn't take long to ship, huh? Let me know if you want to sell it direct to me ASAP I'll make you a good offer I'd rather support PA people than randoms on eBay! PM ME! Edited by Frenetic Zetetic - December 12 2020 at 23:24 |
