Best (My most enjoyed) - The Lamia
Best (most progressive/avannt-garde piece) - The Waiting Room Best (piece of writing) - After the Ordeal Best (performance and contribution from all 5 members) - Dancing with the Moonlit Knight Best (most representative of what Gabriel/Hackett era was all about) - The Musical Box Best (most representative of what Gabriel/Phillips era was all about) - Stagnation Best (most grandiose orchestral vibe) - Fountain of Salmacis |

And are you, people of the prog, aware of the fact that there's a Ukrainian network of shops of electronics and home appliances named Foxtrot? It was named quite after the album we all know and love. Even the majority of the workers of that company have no idea about the origins of their name, as far as I know. But I once read a newspaper interview of the widow of one of its co-founders. She said, he liked Genesis and Peter Gabriel, hence the name of the company...

I think one of the all around best songs was Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.
But Moonlit Knight is a favorite of mine. |

I'm tempted to go with that too. Incredible song. But then Firth of Fifth, In the Cage and Chamber of 32 Doors are all up there. Edited by Blacksword - December 11 2020 at 10:38 |

So many great ones to pick from, so I´ll chose one not many others will probably even consider: Counting Out Time. It´s not a great epic, or an especially complex progressive rock track, but I absolutely adore the lyrics and the feel good atmosphere of the song.

"Firth of Fifth." "Cinema show" would be right behind that one though.
