I think I probably prefer "won't get fooled again" but both are great.

I'm paraphrasing here..... "There's an old saying in Tennessee, I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee, that says, fool me once, You Won't Get Fooled Again."

The first time I heard "Won't Get Fooled Again" I was blown away, but over time it has dropped somewhat, and today it is probably the track on Who's Next that interests me the least. If we put the synthesizer aside (which is my favourite part of the song by far), we get a very conventional rock song that's been heard many times before and since. Not that it's a bad song, it's just not very original. Standard rock ingredients basically. But I do love the synthesizer, and especially when we get to the "synth solo" towards the end, and it's broken by the drumfills, that's clearly a great moment.

Baba O' Reilly. I love the sequenced Arp 2600. Won't Get Fooled Again is definitely a very close second though.

Won't get fooled again by far. The melody and arrangements are screaming to be heard very loud. The lyrics are still VEEEEEERY relevant to the Ks and the confusion we're living in today :):)

Won't Get Fooled Again is my favourite Who song, Baba O'Reilly a candidate for #2. Baba was the first song that made me like The Who, at the tender age of 12.
