My nomination is

Francesca Lago : Bring the Noise

(thanks to Snicolette and Mike)
Amos Goldberg (professor of Genocide Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem): Yes, it's genocide. It's so difficult and painful to admit it, but we can no longer avoid this conclusion.

Icarium's suggestion, first listen

Polly Scattergood “Silk Roses”  Slow building song, with whispery vocals, another ominous track.  Her lover has given her silk roses, which just makes her think that their relationship also isn’t real, mentions of the desert (her personal emptiness).  She’d rather having nothing there than a reminder that the relationship is about as real as the silk flowers.

This is going to be a tough one...

For my nomination I had difficulty to choose between the tremendous Anna Calvi and the brilliant An Pierlé. Since the former is already better known (at least in France and I guess in the UK too), and the latter deserves to be better known, I nominate: An Pierlé - Helium Sunset.

I like all those I posted, but I'll nominate 'Mary Black- Tying To Get The Balance Right.'....

(my wife and I have been married 46 years...2 daughters and 4 grandkids...and balance has always been important in our marriage.)

I'm fine with it, she's maybe the only artist I know in this category that was never mentioned in these polls before.
I meant to listen to the suggestions but I was more into classical music this week.
Oh, and nevermind Nevermind, he won't be around anymore.

Thank you, if I haven't heard from the others by first thing in the am, will open the polls for voting there's plenty to begin listening to even if voting isn't open quite yet.

Edited to give the stragglers a final chance.  Poll will open as it stands (wherever that may be) tomorrow (Sunday), then.

...and I second that comments Kees, what an excellent play list.  I knew this would be a good one when Nickie said she was going to do it and have been waiting patiently for her turn at the wheel.  I'm still not sure who to put up for the top 3.

I believe it is my turn to do the next poll, which, as a fair warning, is going to be something quite different from how we've been doing it up to this point.  There will be a few changes to how it will work, so make sure you read the rules at the beginning, but overall, it will be mostly the same idea.

OK then!  Glad you enjoyed this one, looking forward to what you may choose to do for yours, Mike, and of course, curious about the changes, I will read the rules a couple of times, lol!
