Those early speakers of theirs are weird design, I always thought. That flare or wing they used to me would minimize soundstage, dispersion.
Also found their tower speakers to be low freq deficient, usually around 45hz-30hz.....need a subwoofer.

But they have always been cool looking speakers with a long history in audio.
