No need to name the band that made this album happen in the Year of Covid :):). Well, I'm being quite PARTISAN here, but yeah...I'm Aussie ....just like Angus and the lads from Sydneyside :)
Us AC/DC fans have been waiting for this album for a looooooooooong time now....perhaps too long.....but Angus and the mates have done it again. Every sngle song on Power Up is a warm acknowledgement of Angus's brother, the late Malcolm Young and his musical legacy. All the songs are well-arranged and superbly produced. ClapClapClap
Even the overly "commercial" song Shot in the Dark is a beautie, imagine the others :)!!! I like Through the mists of time, where the band picks up its glammy blues rock style, a al Slade :). I love those typically Angus Young licks on Kick you when you're down and the lyrics are great. Great intro to With's Spell and the arrangements are very Malcolm Young. Wild Reputation kicks you inside and outside at the same time........the bassline is a killer. Systems Down is your typical AC/Dc sound with a touch of 'psychedelia' to it. Money Shot is already a top hit on U.S. rock radio. Code Red massively shoots high doses of powerful electric rock to yer ears.
Overall, A RIPPER ALBUM BY THE BOYS :):):)

I will listen to it, although it's predictable already. For the sake of older, simpler times.

WinkWink Predictable ain't noise pollution , right ??! I truly believe that Power Up and The Symbol Remains by Blue Oyster Cult are the 2 rock albums that musically saved the Year of Covid from total oblivion :)Wink

Embarrassed While I come from very far away in rock, I dig Deep Purple, but you see, they did go a little wimpy with their new album (some songs are overly pop). Kraan I don't know, but I'll look into it ..and I thought Wishbone Ash had def split up.....ty, I'll look into their new album as well :):)

well, if you don't know Kraan, listen to their 70s work first, and then worry about their 2020 release. Big smile
