Hi,
I am not sure that the link to any of those bands helps one appreciate this band ... the comparisons will go immediately flat ... and my thoughts, almost lean towards some of the SF stuff than it does any of those bands. That said, there are some nice things, in it, and I started with "Waves", but when things kinda turned into some nice music, but just "songs", my interest went downhill. Mind you, my tastes ran towards the esoteric and the different and not the standard "song", something that I feel does not "fit" into a PROGRESSIVE discussion ... and should be done in a pop music, or alternative music forum. But, the likelihood of any band getting any attention whatsoever in those areas is minimum at most ... thus complicating their ability to stick together and create more work. I guess I miss the element of "experimenting" and "tripping" (for lack of a better set of words) and listening to these songs, even with some nice moments in many of the pieces, feels incomplete for me, and I prefer not to say a whole lot more for fear that I'm stating that it is not good/great. What is strange to me, is hearing a band trying to break out ... and the vocals are from the metal school of music 101 ... in many of the songs ... but they are "better" for me, when that is not the case and the vocals are more in tune with the music instead of in tune with a well known "sound" ... I imagine that a new band wanting to make a point has to sound like themselves, and not a glimmer of anyone else ... but perhaps that is just me thinking! All around, nice album ... enjoyable ... despite the listing of bands that I would not want to be compared to ... as it always makes you 2nd and 3rd best ... and I would not want that ... the only comparison I would make for myself is look at the mirror ... not someone else! Best of luck and I hope it does you guys well ... 3 years putting it together shows some dedication that is rare, and in my book that often makes for a "better" band, in terms of cohesion and such ... and hopefully by summer time here in the Portland/Vancouver, I will have a chance to see you guys! I will enjoy it!

Hi, thanks for the feedback! You're in the Portland area? That's awesome. We've been playing around Portland for about five years actually, been going by Rainbow Face for about two years. What's the best way to let you know about our shows (when that becomes a thing again)? You can follow us on FB, bandcamp...

Hi, Across the river actually ... email here is just fine ... otherwise my tagline. I review foreign films and discuss a lot of music here and review SOME ALBUMS (I will never do a top 5 or top 10!!!) that I feel are special ... other than that I'm somewhat of the ugly duckling here because I'm am not into "pop musik" and neither am I into stuff that is listed in the top ... but the experimental bands and far out stuff done in the late 60's and 70's still has my ears, and I stick up for the improvisational and experimental materials of those days, that some, TODAY, look at as if they were just songs ... which most of the stuff was NOT. But that's me ... not anyone else!

quick to judge much - probably I've always been annoyed by users promoting other sites here in the forum. If this forum is not good enough for you, don't come here and don't invite me to participate elsewhere, I'm fine here. Maybe it's not the case with you, excuse my rudeness, but it's happened a few times with others and I snap.

I get it. I LOVE Progarchives and post reviews on here sometimes, although many bands I review don't yet have a standing here. When they do have a site here I review here and on my own website, never thought of it as competition, just getting the word out since it seems like progressive rock bands need all the exposure they can get.
