My birthday is March 9. On March 9th, 1961, the space dog Laika was launched to her death on Sputnik 9. This event is said to fulfil part of the ancient prophecy regarding my arrival a decade later. "And He shall be born into this world a decade hence the hound has flown on grave Angel wings, and ye shall know Him by his number which is 9, the mark of the beastly death carriage. Then the time shall be nigh to march forward into battle.".

It is all very open to interpretation....

Doing some proper googling, it seems that Laika was launched on the Sputnik 2 on Nov. 3, 1957. On March 9, 1961, a dummy was launched into space on Sputnik 9, which is very apt. "And a dummy shall be born into this world a decade hence a dummy circled the heavens. And ye shall know this dummy by his dumbness."

So I share my arrival day with the departure day of another dummy.

I Google-searched. (March 7th) Hitler did some stuff, seemingly. (The first thing that appeared.)

I wish he had died on my birthday!

I was born, that was more than enough.

The exact day of my birth (Jan 27th 1969) was an historic catastrophe: Fourteen spies were hanged in Baghdad, nine Jews were publicly executed in Damascus, actress Thelma Ritter had a heart attack from which she died a few days later (Feb 5th) and, worst of all for the world, I was born Wink. It could hardly get any worse for one day.

Not much seems to have happened on the day I was born (14/05/61).
Stirling Moss won the Monaco Grand Prix, Tim Roth was born, er, that's about it.
