I do love the fact that his influence is Duke and Abacab era Genesis rather than the usual 'done to death' earlier years.

Jem (along with Nick Beggs) is easily amongst the best song writers in prog imo. Interesting that they both hail from a pop background.
I always admire musicians who aren't afraid to make music that they like, and not be afraid to just do what fans of their genre like so not to be accused of "jumping the shark". It's basically jumping the shark... by not jumping the shark.
Jesus, I'm getting to complicated. What I mean is, I admire those who just do what they like. And Jem Godfrey is one of that number.
