Yes, perhaps being classified as “Prog related” is a good solution in cases where there is disagreement, or in instances where artists cover more than one particular style, but include significant Prog character. That could be a nice preventative, a sort of fail-safe measure. Edited by Jaketejas - June 02 2020 at 23:18 |

All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

How about some Bruford! I seem to like his solo work a little more than the common man to say the least.

An epic from a band I mentioned earlier and that is Crucible. Fans of PG era Genesis will want to check it out. Very good prog from the late 90's. Edited by AFlowerKingCrimson - August 21 2020 at 17:11 |

Comment didn't go through on the last one so: "This is no obscure prog album (not if you've been keeping up with the Italians)."

I have 2 lp's by Machiavel...like this one quite a bit. Not real obscure but I have not heard them mentioned here...at least in a very long time.

Another gem from the late 90's. This is for the mellotron fans out there. |

This one has 59,000 views so can't be that obscure... but I think it was very obscure for a long time and it is a five star genius piece of work that I'm sure not everyone here knows (every Talk Talk lover should know this). |

46 views in five years, this may be obscure: Now, Belgium neo-prog from 1993. They were probably ten years late to have a bit of succes, but it is still quite good. Wheels of Time, Part II: |

This is an absolute must hear for those who like early Genesis(especially the PG era). Better than Harvest of Souls by IQ. |
