In case you hadn't already guessed, this thread is a tribute to the music of Ozzy Osbourne & Black Sabbath, and I'll have some more Ozzy Osbourne videos coming up for you soon.

so if it's a Black Sabbath thread, can I post videos with Tony Martin on vocals? or Ronnie James Dio? Or Glenn Hughes? Ozzy solo and Sabbath are two different beasts, I would never put them in the same thread. To me, Ozzy is not even an essential member, although I admit the 70s is my favorite period of the band. The heart and soul of BS has always been Tony Iommi.

Of course you can. You're more than welcome to post Black Sabbath videos here featuring Ronnie James Dio, Tony Martin or Glenn Hughes on vocals. It's all Black Sabbath related and as you already know, I don't mind a bit of "off-topic-ness" anyway.

If I made an Ozzy thread, I'd stick to his solo albums/career. I'd be trolling if I put videos with the other vocalists of Black Sabbath. BS deserves its own thread. Anyway, as for Ozzy, I like his work up until No More Tears (1991). What came after, I find bland, mediocre, unappealing (to me).

You wouldn't be "trolling" if you posted Black Sabbath videos here, because I've already said it's okay to go ahead and do that. On the other hand. if Black Sabbath deserves it's own thread, then there's no reason why you couldn't post a Black Sabbath thread of your own.
By the way, I agree with what you said about No More Tears.

I didn't say anything specifically about No More Tears, just that I like it. I don't like and listen to what he did after 1991. Of course it's trolling if I post videos with BS without Ozzy here, in this thread that is, I was only kidding. |

"Suicide Solution" is about drinking alcohol until it kills you. Solution as in "liquid", with the double entendre of "problem solved".
The latter of which, everyone ran with because moral blame is easier than digesting art!

What I actually meant was, I agree with you about not wanting to listen to anything that came after Ozzy's No More Tears album.

Hey, guess what? Doug McAuliffe's Black Sabbath thread from February has just risen from the grave.

Yes, I'm a huge fan of Black Sabbath, but definitely not a fan of Slayer, or any other Thrash Metal bands.

Thanks anyway, but Anthrax really aren't my cup of tea.
I'll stick with Ozzy Osbourne & Black Sabbath. By the way, I like the Ronnie James Dio and Tony Martin era of Black Sabbath (that Cristi mentioned) just as much as the classic Ozzy era. Thankfully, the Ian Gillan "Born Again" era of Black Sabbath was short-lived.

Never heard that whole album until about 3 years ago (Crazy Train of course was all over the radio and tv). The 25 year old kid who was an optician in my office loaded it on my computer cause he knew old Doctor Doug liked rock. Decent album....I had been out of touch with Ozzie and Sabbath for many years ...last Sabbath I bought was Sabotage . Thought Mr Crowley was interesting since in the late 70's and 80's spent some time reading about western occult traditions.
